Датские ученые выяснили, что отсутствие авторитета на работе у женщин повышает риск тяжелой депрессии. Интересно, что мужчины не склонны впадать в депрессию из-за своего общественного положения. Риск депрессии повышен у тех мужчин, которые неуверенны в стабильности своей работы.

Ученые взяли группу из 4133 мужчин и женщин и обследовали их дважды: в 1995 и в 2000 году. У этих людей выявляли симптомы депрессии и регистрировали условия их труда. Исследователи учли все факторы, которые влияют на риск депрессии.

Женщины, которые считали, что к их мнению на работе никто не прислушивается (т.е. они не могли сами планировать свою деятельность, определять сроки работы и так далее), в два раза чаще заболевали тяжелой депрессией. Также часто впадали в депрессию женщины, которые не чувствовали поддержки со стороны начальства.

Мужчины, неуверенные в стабильности своей работы (т.е. опасающиеся, что их могут уволить, перевести на другую работу и т.д.) заболевали депрессией в два раза чаще, чем те, кто был более уверен в завтрашнем дне.
